DC Patios Gold Coast
From upscale steakhouses to laid-back cafes, DC’s Gold Coast has plenty of outdoor dining options. Whether you’re looking to sip cocktails with friends after work or bring the whole family during the weekend, you can find the perfect spot here.
Yes, it’s the same place you have to walk through to get to Maple & Ash, but Eight Bar counts as its own destination. The bar is much more casual, and while there is some menu crossover, the food is totally different.
1. Dacha
A patio is a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. It is the perfect spot for day drinking and catching up with friends. It is also a great place to host parties and events. There are plenty of choices for food and drinks, so you can find something to suit everyone’s tastes. The patio is very large, so it can accommodate a lot of people.
Dachas were originally used as summer houses by residents of larger cities. They would spend the weekends there during the late spring and autumn. As laws became more liberal, construction of dachas outside of the city increased. Initially, the plots could not be bigger than six “sotok,” which is 100 square meters.
The best thing about this place is that it is very clean and friendly. They have an excellent staff, and their prices are affordable. They also serve delicious draft beer and wine. You can try their delicious hamburgers and pork sandwiches, too!
2. Nina May
NINA MAY have taken the Brisbane music scene by the balls with their hard, melodic rock and kick-ass girly vocals. The band’s first EP has received a lot of street press and Aussie rock acclaim, with the boys already gaining some serious clout in the music industry. With a beautiful patio that adds about 55 seats to the restaurant, you can enjoy your meal outdoors in good weather or bad.
Nina May’s patio is also an excellent spot for weekend brunch service, which offers family-style portions perfect for when you and your friends just can’t decide on what to order. The menu is seasonal, so be sure to check out what they have on offer.
Puerto Rican native Joancarlo Parkhurst is wary of the way Latin cuisines are too often lumped together in mash-up menus, so his new Navy Yard restaurant, La Famosa, is a careful study in true flavors.
Diners order at counters outfitted with grooved metal fascias and detailed ‘letter board’ menus on white subway tile, then eat at tables that feature eye-catching leaf-patterned wallpaper of soft blues and pinks. A bar offers drinks that lean heavily on fresh juices and rum. The 58-seat restaurant will operate under a “fast-fine” model that allows patrons to order at the counter and have food delivered to their tables via food runners as soon as COVID-19-era restrictions lift.
4. Eight Bar
Located on the Gold Coast, Australia, Eight Bar has an amazing view of the sparkling ocean. It has a million-dollar fit out and offers an outdoor dining experience. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner or to celebrate a special occasion. The menu is filled with delicious Australian cuisine. It also has a selection of wines and cocktails.
Long stretches of stunning beach, unique neighbourhoods and epic events are enough to make the Gold Coast an unforgettable destination for everyone. However, the region’s food scene is equally impressive.
From rooftop bars with views of the entire city to laid-back seafood restaurants with waterfront patios, there are plenty of options for food and drink lovers. Here are a few of our favourites to try this summer.
